Executive Director

Rowan Helping Ministries

Salisbury, NC

 

Rowan Helping Ministries (RHM) is seeking an Executive Director to continue to build upon our over 20 years of success in “Putting God’s Love into Action” by meeting the basic human needs of those in crisis.  We seek a person who shares our compassion for helping others in crisis to rebuild their lives.  Our Executive Director will provide critical leadership to RHM by working with a very active board of directors in strategic planning, community relations, and fiscal management and resource development.  The Executive Director will also be central in fundraising for the organization and in motivating our staff to continue to deliver program services in an efficient and competent manner.

 

Rowan Cooperative Christian Ministries was founded in 1967.  This became Rowan Helping Ministries in 1986 and in 1989 RHM moved into its facilities at 226 North Long Street.  This is the permanent home for the Shelter, Soup Kitchen, and Crisis Assistance Network.  Rowan Helping Ministries has a current annual budget of $1,754,000 for operations and 28 employed staff members.  We also rely on 30-40 volunteers daily to provide RHM services to the clients of Rowan County. 

 

Qualifications required include:

 

·         Ability to develop relationships with the community in order to raise funds and promote RHM

·         Strong interpersonal skills to connect to all socioeconomic groups and  individuals

·         Ability to lead, inspire, motivate and engage others

·         Compassion and commitment to serve those in need

 

Preferred Experience

 

  • Nonprofit experience with at least a bachelor’s degree

 

  • History of personal growth and development

 

  • Commitment to the position beyond regular working hours

 

The successful candidate will be required to live in Rowan County.

 

The salary is in the range of $75,000 to $85,000 with additional benefits available.
