Mission: To provide nutritious weekend meals to food-insecure children in Rowan-Salisbury Schools through the creation of local coalitions, working together to improve our community

Vision: All Rowan-Salisbury School students are well-nourished to enable them to achieve their full potential

Our Priority: Ensure all children in Rowan County get the healthy food they need to succeed

What We Do: Provide easy-to-prepare shelf-stable weekend meals to food-insecure school children throughout Salisbury and Rowan County

How We Do It: Create a partnership of organizations, such as churches, businesses, civic organizations and foundations, working together to feed hungry children

According to Feeding America, 8,690 children in Rowan County were food insecure in 2013. Children who face chronic hunger are more likely to have poor health, social skills, academic performance, and negative self-image. By supporting FFT, you can make a difference for these children and help them reach their full potential. Your support also shows the children we serve that they are valued by their community.

Here are a few of the ways you can make a difference:

• Donate money:
$3 provides one child food for a day
$6 feeds one child for a weekend
$25 supports one child for a month
$250 provides one child weekend meals for an entire school year
• Pack bags at packing parties
• Donate approved shelf-stable food items on our menu.
