Ministries Services
Crisis Assistance Network
Financial Assistance:
Rowan Helping Ministries has funds available to
individuals and families who qualify to help prevent
disruption in electrical, natural gas, and water
service. Funds are also available to help with eviction
notices, medication, and mortgages up for foreclosures.
Food Pantry:
Rowan Helping Ministries has food available to residents
of Rowan County. The food is available every
thirty days for residents that are disabled, laid off,
or elderly (over 60). All other residents can receive
food every sixty days.
Clothing Center:
Clothing is available to residents of Rowan County every
thirty days.

Life Coaching
Life Coaching at Rowan Helping Ministries is available
to any client that is interested. In this program
clients are given assistance in resolving difficult
situations from their individual Life Coach. As
clients progress through this program they build self
confidence in handling difficult situations more
effectively. If you are interested in the Life
Coaching program please call Rowan Helping Ministries at
(704) 633-5771 and select option 1.
Soup Kitchen
Everyday of the year, Rowan Helping Ministries serves
lunch to the residents of Rowan County. Unlike other
Rowan Helping Ministries program's there is no
qualification necessary to be served lunch.
Overnight Shelter
If you have been evicted or have no where to go the
Overnight Shelter is available to Rowan County
residents. An evening and breakfast meal is included for
those staying in the shelter. A shower and a change of
clothing is required. Case management services are also
provided to help clients get back on their feet.

New Tomorrows
New Tomorrows is a program to teach Life Skills to our
shelter guests who need a place to go on week day
mornings. Classes are available to all shelter
guest who are interested and include: Stress Management,
Creativity, Yoga, Gardening, Food Preparation, Anger
Management, Resume Writing, Interviewing Skills, Dress
Attire, and Bible Study.
Eagle's Nest
The Eagle Nest program at Rowan Helping Ministries
consist of Eagle's Nest I and II. Eagle's Nest I is for
single parents with one to two children and they reside
in four small efficiency apartments. Parents are
required to work, pay a program fee and attend various
self-improvement programs such as budgeting, counseling
and parenting classes. For those who succeed and
qualify, a habitat House may be approved. Eagle's Nest
II is the newest transitional housing program and has
six units that are reserved for individuals who are
homeless but working. Residents also must pay a program
fee and attend appropriate self-improvement programs.

RHM West
RHM West is providing food to Western Rowan County
Citizens on the second Saturday of every month. In
addition, RHM West is open two days every month for
financial assistance and food.
