A Place of Hope and Healing

Rowan Helping Ministries truly is God’s Love in Action. In its 35-year history, it has grown from humble beginnings at temporary locations in Salisbury churches to a complex of buildings for sheltering and feeding the homeless and for training clients to help move them out of crisis into healthy living. This means housing, jobs, families united, literacy training, physical and mental health needs, and more.

Driven by a volunteer base of 2,500, Rowan Helping Ministries has facilities on Long Street in Salisbury and pantries in both the West Rowan and East Rowan communities.
