Volunteer at Rowan Helping Ministries
Rowan Helping Ministries is conducting training for
volunteers who are interested in working in the Crisis
Assistance Network, Food Pantry, Clothing Center,
Reception Area, Soup Kitchen and Overnight Shelter.

Ministries Featured Volunteer Groups
Crisis Assistance Network
The Crisis Assistance Network needs volunteers to
interview clients to help determine client eligibility
for financial assistance, food, and clothing. The
interviewers have a challenging job and are the face of
Rowan Helping Ministries. The CAN office also
needs volunteers to pack food orders, stock shelves,
process clothing donations, and/or operate the clothing
center.
Soup Kitchen
The Soup Kitchen needs volunteers to fix and serve a
nutritious noon meal to the hungry.
Overnight Shelter
The Overnight Shelter needs volunteers to check-in
guest, fix and serve supper, assist with laundry, and/or
fix and serve breakfast.
Eagle's Nest
The Eagle's Nest occasionally needs volunteers to paint
and provide maintenance to our apartments.
Miscellaneous Volunteers
Rowan Helping Ministries has a need for miscellaneous
volunteers on a regular and temporary basis. Some
examples of volunteer opportunities are to pick-up and
deliver food to Rowan Helping Ministries for local
grocery stores, assist with the unloading of large
shipments of food, assist with shopping for large orders
of food from local grocery stores, etc.
